Jennetta Quinn Bates a CUA41215 Cert IV Screen and Media graduate from BIITE has just landed herself a job with the ABC working out of the Alice Springs Bureau.

Jennetta will be taking up the position of Content Maker – Regional Trainee this Monday April the 1st 2019. Jennetta excelled in the area of reporting during the inaugural BIITE Yarns show Produced by the Cert IV and Diploma students in 2018.

BIITE Yarns is a 20 minute magazine type program encompassing short segments and on the couch scenes.
A proud Baakindji Woman from Muswellbrook NSW, Jennetta started studying Media as a stepping stone to acting and performing arts which has always been her ultimate passion.

However she soon learnt that Media was the perfect avenue to share stories of Indigenous Australians, their history, and to bring awareness to challenges faced by First Nations People and their communities.
Jennetta’s father and his siblings were a part of the stolen generations so restoring and preserving her Indigenous culture is very important to her.

“Of all broadcasting networks I could work for, ABC would be my first choice, as I admire their policies regarding delivering fact based news.

“I feel my morals and their values both align with each other so I’m really happy to have been given this amazing opportunity”
