Derek, a Kamilaroi [Gamilaraay] man from Moree, NSW likes a challenge, and throughout his life he has had quite a few.

A survivor of an extremely bad car accident that resulted in his right side completely smashed and severe head injuries, he had to endure three years of rehabilitation before deciding that he had to get back to study to make real changes in his life.
