Media Festival Award winners

best-song-awardBatchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education Certificate IV Indigenous Media Unit students, Edgar Richardson and Perina Sagigi recently picked up two trophies at the 15th National Remote Indigenous Media Festival. The festival was held in Ntaria (Hermannsburg) and was hosted by the Indigenous Remote Communications Association (IRCA), Indigenous Community TV (ICTV) and CAAMA radio.

Congratulations to our talented students Edgar, recipient of “Best Song, People’s Choice”, and Edgar and Perina who shared “Best Editing” in the 2013 Remote Media Awards.  All of the Certificate IV Screen and Media students participated in the music clip production of Edgar’s song “Sky High”. Congratulations also go to Lyn Hope – the students’ very supportive teacher, ably assisted by David Pollock.
