Message from the CEO, November 2022

Hello team and welcome to our final staff newsletter for 2022.

I continue to be constantly inspired by the ongoing work and many achievements of Team Batchelor, and proud of the wide variety of spaces in which the Institute is present.

It’s been a very full couple of months since our last staff newsletter, with thought-provoking seminars, bilingual book publications, local community events, and much more.

Those are just a few examples of the great work Team Batchelor has been up to, alongside engaging activities at our remote learning centres, contributing to discussions about placenames, and recognition of our staff on national stages.

Not long ago we also came together at simultaneous morning teas held at Batchelor campus and the Desert Peoples Centre campus to mark NT October Business Month and the countrywide Indigenous Business Month.

Out of these yarning circles was a list of brainstormed ideas about what we currently do well, and what we could improve on in the future. Moving forward, we can identify priorities from those ideas. Again, this is just one of many forward-looking initiatives we are taking together as a team.

I wish you and your family a safe and happy Christmas and look forward to continuing the Institute’s good work together in the new year.

As always, please reach out to if there is anything you need.

Kind regards,
