    Dr Sonia Tidemann was appointed as Adjunct Research Fellow in 2009.

    Dr Sonia Tidemann’s working career started as a secondary science teacher. After the birth of her daughter Sonia completed her Master of Science in the field of educational psychology. Following this, she completed her PhD in the behaviour and ecology of three species of fairy-wrens. As a research scientist in the Northern Territory, she investigated the decline of the endangered Gouldian Finch.

    In 1993, Sonia took up a three-month position at the then Batchelor College and did not leave the Institute until 2008.

    Until 2012, she held a part-time academic position with Bond University where she was also an Adjunct Fellow.
