Batchelor students recently attended the NT Screen Summit 2025, presented by Screen Territory. Held at the CDU Waterfront campus in Darwin, the two-day event brought together leading creatives, producers and national screen industry representatives.
The NT Screen Summit 2025 offered an important opportunity for our students to hear directly from industry professionals and to build connections that support future careers in film, television and digital media. Students were able to take part in conversations about the stories, skills and creative talent shaping Australia’s film and television industry.
- During the event, students were able to meet with directors, producers and actors from a range of projects including:
- Producers and co-directors of the documentary Journey Home, David Gulpilil
- Jida Gulpilil, son of the late David Gulpilil
- Award winning actress and writer of Top End Bub, Miranda Tapsell
- Top End Bub co-director and actress, Shari Sebbens
- Producers and crew members of Top End Bub.
Batchelor Institute is committed to supporting pathways for First Nations storytellers and strengthening opportunities for our students to develop their creative skills.
